Before treatment I experienced such severe symptoms I
didn't recognize myself. From sleeping only 2-3 hours
each night to crippling headaches and lack of drive and
one sickness after another- I needed to do something.
After receiving the first treamtent - within 2 days- I felt
more like me again. Strong and healthy again, I felt
confident that I could return to long distance cycling and
take on the challenges of life with the cheerfulness I am
accustomed to. My quality of life is back. |

In the six months since we started bio-identical hormone
balance therapy, the transition to healthy and more
youthful living has been remarkable. If someone had told
us that the change would be this positive and dramatic,
especially at 58 years old, we would not have believed
them. Never the less, the results speak for themselves
and we are very grateful.
Our introduction to you and bio-identical hormone
balance therapy was made through some friends that we
have known for 20 years, but had not seen for about 10
months. We could not believe the change as they looked
and acted 15 years younger. Also, they had a real sense
of happiness and well being. Clearly, there was
something very positive and healthy going on in their
lives.
Fortunately, they led us to you and to hormone balance
therapy and our results have been very similar. The
most dramatic change has been with Bob, who prior to
treatment, had nearly all of the andropause symptoms
listed on the web site. He was feeling very old and was
becoming less and less active. He was experiencing a
redistribution of muscle mass (what little was left), achy
joints and decreased mental sharpness. He was very
sick and tired of feeling “sick and tired”. Today, six
months later, none of the symptoms remain and he is
living a much healthier and active lifestyle.
It is difficult to describe the improvement because it
encompasses the whole body, but here are a few
specifics; our minds are sharper, joints are no longer
achy, muscle tone has returned and our skin is elastic
again. We now sleep soundly through the night and our
love life is fully restored. In addition, we have not been
sick even one day. Without question, we are now
younger and healthier in every respect.
We have done a lot of research and believe that bio-
identical hormone therapy is as safe as it is effective. We
also like the ease and convenience of using pellets
versus other methods. We simply could not be happier
with the experience or the results.
Yours truly,
Bob and Lana Shrader |

The biggest problem is erratic thought process. I
lose my train of thought, can’t think of words, and
trip over words to the point of having a slight
stutter. Once I started the pellets all of these
symptoms disappeared. When the pellets diminish,
all of these symptoms return. Along with the
anxiety, lack of sleep (can’t fall asleep), night
sweats, sweet cravings and weight gain and pain in
my joints.
The testosterone pellets have given me my brain
back which tremendously helps me on my job and
work process. I’m a claims manager for an
insurance broker. I speak to people all over the US
everyday, all day. I have to be able to think and
speak with the anxiety diminished, my personal
relationships are much smoother and less
combative. My husband really notices the change
in me. I’m so much better about being less
sensitive and moody, much more relaxed! |

October 9, 2007
My name is Gina Hardin. I want to tell you the ACTUAL difference in my quality
of life since I chose to have hormone therapy pellets.
Below, I have included various pictures of me. The first picture was taken when
I first met my husband in 1994, at 32 years old. This was a typical picture of
me, as I never had to diet to lose weight, exercise, or watch what I ate. I
continued to weigh close to the same throughout the years to come,
fluctuating around 10 pounds or so.
Towards the end of 2001, I decided to quit smoking. Three days later, I was
told that my Dad had stage 4 oral cancer. I also had started experiencing
menopausal symptoms, such as night sweats, hot flashes, and extreme mood
swings. This was all just a couple of months from my 40th birthday.
I visited my doctor who prescribed an antidepressant, (Paxal, then Zoloft), for
the mood swings. We both thought that because I had quit smoking and the
news of my Dad, this was what was needed at the time. And it did work. I felt
“better”, but still had hot flashes, night sweats and still felt a bit moody.
By the end of 2002, I had gained over 50 pounds!! I knew that with age,
women usually gain a few pounds, so as it was happening, I wasn’t worried. My
husband kept telling me that he loved me no matter what I looked like, but that
whatever medicine that I was taking, was NOT working. He said that I was
“changing into a different person”, so bitter and hateful.
By 2004, I had been prescribed estragen, with and without testosterone. I was
still taking Zoloft and had added acid reflux medications since then also. I wasn’
t feeling any better. In fact, I started feeling worse! I started having menstral
periods that would last for 3-4 weeks, only to stop for a week, then go for 3-4
weeks again. My doctor worked with me to get this under control with different
medications, but nothing worked.
So, my doctor and I decided that I would have a total hysterectomy at the
beginning of 2005, just after my 43rd birthday. I thought that this would be the
end of my problems! WRONG! After recovering, I had to start taking Xanax, as
I started to have panic attacks. I was still on Zoloft, Protonix, and estragen.
During this recovery period, I started to notice some bladder leakage. I talked
it over with my doctor, and he seemed to think that it may be from my surgery.
He wanted me to give it a couple more months, that maybe it was just a “side
effect”. Since my surgery in 2005, my bladder leakage had gone from a few
drops if I sneezed or coughed to having to wear a pad or changing my pants.
Now, in 2007, I started to have large accidents when I ran, squatted down,
laughed, sneezed or coughed. I kept doing my keagle exercises, thinking that
may help. It just kept getting worse! My doctor then referred me to a specialist.
The specialist ran some tests and determined that I had stress incontinence
and would need a “sling procedure” surgery. This test was done at the end of
July, 2007. My surgery was scheduled for August, 2007.
Over the years, I had asked my doctor about using hormone pellets. My
mother and her sisters, who live in Georgia, were having great success with
this. I figured that if it worked for my Mom, it might work for me. My doctor
admitted that he knew very little about hormone pellets, so he gave me the
name of a doctor that specialized in that area. After making a call, I found out
that my insurance did not cover this, so I did not make an appointment, but I
did start doing some research on my own. When my doctor found out that
insurance was the obstacle, he wrote a letter to the insurance company
requesting that they cover this as we were running out of options. To my
complete surprise, my insurance company agreed to let me pursue this. I
would, however, have to pay first, then be reimbursed. Needless to say, I made
my appointment.
My appointment with Dr. Rebecca Glaser was on August 16, 2007. Prior to
coming to the office, she had requested that I go ahead and complete some
blood work, which I did. I weighed myself while waiting for her to come to talk to
me. I weighed 196 pounds. At this time, I had been weighing myself and
recording my measurements every Monday. My waist was 40 inches, thigh 26
inches, bust 46 inches, and my hips were 46 inches. I had not lost any more
weight for a month.
After the consultation, Dr. Glaser recommended that I take hormone pellets. I
agreed, and she inserted them under my skin that day. After talking to her, I
decided to write down all of the symptoms that I was experiencing at that time.
She told me of how others had found relief from some of the symptoms that I
had mentioned to her. I wanted to see for myself.
I was currently taking Xanax, Zoloft, Protonix, and Premarin 1.25 mg x 2 per
day. She prescribed a cream to use 3 days a week, to help with incontinence,
and a Progesterone liquid to put under my tongue for insomnia and anxiety. I
decided to stop taking my other medications that were previously prescribed.
At this time, I am very active, physically, on our farm. We have 25 cows, 150
meat chickens, 30 turkeys, 60 pheasants, dogs, guineas, and a rabbit. They
all have to be fed and given fresh water daily, and their pens have to be
cleaned out frequently. Since I do not work outside of the home, this is my job.
I have to deal with my incontinence especially when picking up heavy objects,
which I do daily. I also seem to be getting weaker the older that I get. I cannot
handle objects as well as before.
I have to drag myself out of bed daily, usually around 9 a.m. By 3 p.m., I NEED
a nap, only to be ready for bed at 10 p.m. I have lots of headaches and
everyone in the family thinks that I have “lost it”. I am so impatient with
everyone, and I can usually feel rage boiling inside of me. My kids say I have
“old-timers” as I have a problem with short-term memory. I think my teenagers
have taken advantage of some of that.
On September 11, 2007, I had another appointment with Dr. Glaser as my
home saliva test results were back, and she wanted to see me. It seems that
my cortisol levels were off, and I needed medication. I could not wait to talk to
her! I wanted to shout from the roof tops the changes that I have experienced
just these past couple of weeks!
I don’t know where to start! I have been off of the Zoloft and Xanax and have
not felt better! I also have quit taking Protonix and have not had any symptoms
of acid reflux. I feel “young” again!! And get this…I do NOT have any more
bladder leakage!! I canceled my bladder surgery! My skin even looks better. I
have more energy than I can ever remember having! I actually feel “frisky”. My
husband says that he has his wife back! I had originally told him that once I get
my moods straightened out, that he was next! Well, I guess because of the
way that I now act, he has also changed tremendously! He is so much more
loving and happy. My libido is soaring through the roof and both of us couldn’t
be happier!
I am down to 185 pounds! My stomach seems to be “melting”. I am NOT
exaggerating! My waist measurement is now 36 inches. I lost 4 inches in just 6
weeks, and I have NOT been dieting! Everyone says that they can tell
“something different” about me.
I cannot express in words the changes that I have experienced since the initial
pellet injection. I am so thankful to have found this treatment! |
